Using Free Download Manager in Firefox 3
Free Download Manager is a download manager that has long been the default I use and I think this FDM has the performance and very good quality.
In my area's Internet connection can only use GPRS, and GPRS networks are the fastest in the county (max 50 Kbps) GPRS only from Telkomsel. So because the network is stuck in there, but I am not satisfied with the speed like that, then my search start with GOOGLE, search and finally I could find a few tricks Internet connection speed.
This time I will discuss about the speed download files using Download Manager
Sure I'm not too experienced in testing the test case, but my experience there is little that can be used as a reference for all colleagues,
Download Manager that I use is FDM (Free Download Manager)
Maybe there are friends who used to use FDM in Firefox version 2 .. but after the upgrade to the Fire Fox version 3.0 is not compatible anymore. Well to outsmart, so that we remain a favorite FDM can be run using the following steps.
Download first add on fire fox that is FlashGot (search in google sure get). After then install the toolbar firefox then click tools then options, then click the download manager, here we assume we have installed FDM, the download manager box will appear click on the download manager a lot of names selected download manager that we install. Well done for setting it
Now try to go to the web provider of free download files, click the download link, then the confirmation will appear, select FlashGot (in the box beside we can choose download manager we've ever installed) then click the save then the file will be automatically downloaded using our FDM (or download manager of our choice).
Some days I do a test by using the Download Manager is FlashGet and Free Download Manager, I did download the same file on the same site.
Conclusion = I prefer to use FDM because I feel a little faster (knowingly slowly connection speeds up the software so it is) and not disturb while browsing while if FlashGet is fast but occasionally unstable, and the download figures show an average speed below FDM (the test results I was still) so it's up to someone and gentlemen, there is a reply other experiences please comment
UPDATE to the latest FDM has version compatible with fire fox 3, so if you want to use it no longer need to install FlashGot if it does not have this FDM please download HERE
thanks
